The panoramic image above shows a detail of a Fijian warrior club, sometimes known as a Cali (Thali), Sali, or Tebetebe (tembay-tembay)
The club comprises a hitting side, with wooden 'blade', then a spur on the opposite site. The club was primarily used to bring the blade end down on a victim, imposing massive injury. The spur may have been used both as a fighting weapon, as well as to penetrate the head of a victim once down. The crook of the club was then said to have been used to first pin the victim's neck to the ground, and to then break it with a twist of the club.
