BOOKING & INFO CENTER:
Nadi Interational Airport
Invariably when you travel to the South Pacific for your Fiji Islands vacation, you will arrive at the Nadi International Airport. It is located close to many Nadi Hotels and is picturesquely encircled by highlands. If you arrive in daylight you will get a wonderful view either of the offshore Mamanuca Islands or the green and verdant mountains of the interior of the main island, Viti Levu, as the runway is parallel to the beach. Many of the islands are like teardrops surrounded by white sandy beaches, giving you a glimpse of the paradise that is Fiji Islands.
Nadi Airport is not a large airport by international standards, but is one of the largest and busiest in the South Pacific with many flights to Fiji. It is situated in an attractive setting and as you alight your aircraft you exit to an elevated open-air walkway where you feel the tropical warmth and smell the tropical fragrances, before entering the terminal building and proceeding to immigration and customs.
In the panorama above, you can see three of the Air Pacific fleet of aircraft - one in the main hangar, one outside the hangar, and one docked at the arrival area. Air Pacific is Fiji Islands international airline. In the centre of the panoramic image above you can see the first floor walkways where travellers to Fiji transit from the aircraft into the main arrivals area. In the background are the Sleeping Giant Mountains (Sabeto hills).
